We know the process of switching energy providers can be overwhelming. In Texas, our EZ Start program is simple as 1-2-3:
- Enroll in a plan that is longer than 12 months.
- Email a copy of the front and back of your final bill to cancellationfee@mystream.com (or fax it to 832-584-2388) with the following:
- All pages of the final bill that clearly shows your full name, service address, and the billing cycle dates
- The early termination fee amount that was charged
- Your phone number
- Your Stream customer account number
- Get ready for up to $150 in bill credit to be added to your Stream account!
Please note that the following criteria must be met in order to qualify for the EZ Start program in Texas: available to residential home meters only; must be a new residential energy customer switching to Stream from another provider; must enroll in a Stream plan that is longer than 12 months; the ESI ID or Utility Account Number matches the ESI ID or Utility Account Number enrolled with Stream; First and last name and service address must match the prior provider’s bill. Customers have 30 days from their enrollment date to claim their bill credit, and there cannot be a gap in service dates with the previous provider and Stream. Your bill credit will only be processed once a copy of the final bill showing the cancellation fee is provided.

- Enroll in a plan that is longer than 12 months.
- Email a copy the front and back of your final bill to customerservice@mystream.com with the following:
- All pages of the final bill that clearly shows your full name, ESIID or Utility Account Number, and the billing cycle dates
- The early termination fee amount that was charged
- Your phone number
- Your Stream customer account number
- Get ready to receive your EZ Start ETF reimbursement of up to $150. Northeast customers will receive their reimbursement in the form of a Visa debit card. Georgia customers will receive their reimbursement in the form of a bill credit.
Please note that the following criteria must be met in order to qualify for the EZ Start program outside of Texas: available to residential home meters only; must be a new residential energy customer switching to Stream from another provider; must enroll in a Stream plan that is longer than 12 months; the ESI ID or Utility Account Number matches the ESI ID or Utility Account Number enrolled with Stream; First and last name matches the name on prior provider’s bill. Customers have 90 days from their switch request to claim their reimbursement.

- Who can participate in the EZ Start program?
- New residential energy customers who switch to Stream and enroll in a plan that is longer than 12 months can participate in the program.
- When will I receive my bill credit?
- Once your submission is approved, the credit will show on your invoice within 1-2 billing cycles as “Cancellation Fee Credit”.
- How does the EZ Start program work?
- If you’re in Texas or Georgia, once you’ve submitted your final bill and it has been approved, we’ll provide a bill credit to your account to offset the cancellation fee up to $150. Customers in the Northeast will be mailed a Visa debit card in the amount of your ETF (up to $150).
- When will I receive my Visa debit card?
- Your Visa debit card will be sent to you within 10-14 business days after emailing us your final energy bill and it has been approved.
- What is the ETF reimbursement limit?
- Stream will pay your early termination fee up to $150.
- Where do I send my final energy bill showing the ETF amount?
