I understand that electronic acceptance of a sales agreement is an agreement to initiate, renew, or switch service and begin enrollment. I understand that enrollment for service can be made only by me, the applicant (i.e., customer of record) or my authorized agent, and, in accordance with that requirement, I certify that I am at least 18 years of age. I am also legally authorized to select or change my retail electric provider (also called “Retail Electric Supplier,” “Electric Generation Supplier,” “Competitive Energy Supplier,” or “Third Party Supplier”) and/or natural gas provider (also called “Natural Gas Supplier,” “Third Party Supplier,” or “Competitive Energy Supplier” or “Natural Gas Marketer”). I authorize this change only for the address(es) listed above. I authorize Stream to become my new electric retail electric provider or natural gas provider in place of my current provider, if applicable, and to act as my agent to perform the necessary tasks to establish my electricity and/or natural gas service account (if applicable) and, if required, switch me from my current REP and instruct my current REP to perform the necessary tasks in order to make this change. I understand that I will receive a copy of the terms of service and contract documents via email, or I can contact Stream to request the information be sent in the mail. As explained, and applicable, in the Contract Documents, I have the right to review and rescind the terms of service (i.e. sales agreement), without penalty, within three federal business days of receipt. I understand that my switch or turn on request may be subject to a charge by Atlanta Gas & Light for changing marketers and may involve a charge for changing back to the existing marketer or electing distribution company. I have read and understand this Authorization and the terms of service that describe the service(s) I will be receiving.
Continuous Service and Cancellation.
I understand that this is a continuous service contract, and I will be charged monthly unless I cancel, the company cancels, or I switch to another supply provider. To cancel with the company, I can call, email, or visit the company website. Note: my utility controls the cancellation timeline, which means the company will continue to serve as my supplier, and charge me, until a final date set by my utility. In most states, this takes 1 to 2 billing cycles; in some states, the process only takes up to 10 days.
Auto-Renewal of Fixed Price Contracts.
I understand that my terms and conditions, available in my enrollment confirmation email, will specify if I have a fixed-price contract that auto-renews at the end of the term. The company will send me a notice before the term ends with details on the new price, term length, and the date by which action must be taken to pick a different plan or switch to a different supplier. If I take no action, the plan takes effect, and I agree to pay the charges incurred.
