Stream Women of Power Group Members Continue to Bloom at Annual Retreat

Stream Celebrates and Recognizes its Women of Power During 2016 Retreat in Washington, D.C.

(DALLAS) July 26, 2016 – Stream Women of Power, a group within Stream dedicated to recognizing and supporting the powerful women in the company, recently hosted its annual retreat in Washington D.C. at the Fairmont Hotel. The Women of Power organization was created in 2010 with a mission to inspire, motivate, encourage and mentor the women of Stream to help them create and sustain a successful business.

“This year’s Stream Women of Power retreat focused on equipping us with the tools to continue to bloom as confident, accomplished women, all while inspiring others,” said Renée Hornbaker, Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, Stream. “It’s always an amazing experience to get together and watch this talented group of women continue to learn and be recognized for their impressive success in the business. It was truly a weekend to remember, and we are already looking forward to our next in-person gathering, at Connect in Orlando this fall.”

During the three-day retreat, attendees enjoyed a top leadership luncheon, productive training workshops and educational sessions, social events (including a Potomac River cruise) and an awards breakfast. Julie Carmichael took home the award for “Enthusiastic Women of Power;” Marissa Burres earned the honor of “Women of Power Servant Leader;” and Rory Williams was named “Rising Women of Power.”

Guests also listened to encouraging messages from highly influential business women, including Gloria Mayfield Banks, Tiffany Peterson, and Kristi Francis, all centering around cultivating the skills that will help them bloom in their lives and businesses.

“We felt appreciated, important, empowered, and loved by not only our fellow female entrepreneurs and friends, but our corporate family,” said Jennifer Moyer, Senior Director, Stream. "Stream gives us the tools for success, and I couldn't be more grateful for this opportunity and for those that work so hard for our Women of Power events."
