Stream Sponsors Splash for Hope for Fifth Straight Year
Posted On: August 3, 2017
For the fifth year in a row, the Stream Cares Foundation proudly partnered with Hope Supply Co. for the Splash for Hope summer event.
Splash for Hope is an event that gives homeless children in the Dallas area the chance to spend a carefree day at Hawaiian Falls Waterpark.
Stream Associates and corporate team members both donated to our co-sponsor, Hope Supply Co., to help make this event possible.
Thanks to those donations, the foundation covered the entrance fee and meal costs for over 800 homeless children in North Texas, helping create an unforgettable experience for each and every one of them.
“The Stream Team is proud to partner with Hope Supply Co., a wonderful organization with an incredible mission, for the Splash for Hope event,” said Kimberly Girard, Senior Manager of Events, Stream. “As a company with family at its heart, it is very humbling for us at Stream to help create memories for these children.”
The Stream Team volunteers included:
- Angelica Abrego
- Anna Belmonte
- Brian Berend
- Lorena Garcia
- Daniel Jafri
- Deana Marris
- Karla Nieto
- Samantha Pierce
- Margaret Velez
In addition to volunteering at the event, Stream employees participated in a supply drive to provide necessary items for the day of fun in the sun: flip-flips, sunscreen, towels, hats and snacks.
Splash for Hope was hosted on two days at two different Hawaiian Falls Waterpark locations: July 18, 2017, at The Colony location and August 1, 2017, at the Mansfield location.
Hope Supply Co. is a Dallas-based non-profit organization with a mission to enhance the lives of homeless children in North Texas by providing clothing, toys, school supplies and programs to meet their needs.
