Sprint's Changes Affect MVNOs—Including Stream
Posted On: March 6, 2015
Recent changes to Sprint’s phone eligibility requirements have made it almost impossible for MVNOs to activate new or used phones on their network. Even brand new phones, including iPhones and Nexus that have never used on the Sprint network, are failing Sprint’s Financial Eligibility Check (FEC) criteria.
This change is affecting all of Sprint’s MVNOs and they—along with Stream—are left searching for alternative solutions to help their customers. Before switching to a Sprint MVNO, customers will need to check that the ESN and MEID on their phone pass the eligibility requirements.
Stream is working feverishly to provide a viable long-term solution for our customers.
