On Thursday, April 26 at an awards ceremony in downtown Philadelphia, Stream Energy was recognized as one of the city’s top philanthropic donors by the Philadelphia Business Journal.
Stream Energy was honored for its support of the Utility Emergency Services Fund (UESF), a local non-profit that provides income assistance to disadvantaged families. The charity helps families afford energy service, irrespective of who their energy provider is.
The award for Stream Energy was given in the Medium-sized Company category. Another noteworthy team in the same category was none other than the Philadelphia Eagles of the National Football League.
During the month of November 2011, Stream Energy launched a magazine advertising campaign in subscriber copies of six nationally-recognized publications in the Philadelphia area that focused on building awareness of UESF. The firm also made a generous financial donation to the charity during its Power Surge Northeast earlier in the fall.
“While it is gratifying to be recognized for our efforts, it is more important to highlight the need to assist struggling families,” said Stream Energy chairman Rob Snyder. “We commend our friends at UESF for the good work they are doing on behalf of families in Philadelphia.”
