Chairman Rob Snyder and Stream Team Donate Almost 75,000 Diapers in Record-Setting Drive
DALLAS (July 1, 2011) – Stream Energy, the most successful network marketer of energy services in the world, announced today that it is donating almost 75,000 diapers to Captain Hope’s Kids, a homeless children’s advocacy serving North Texas.
The diaper drive is part of Stream Energy’s ongoing charitable support program called “A Big Difference Starts Small.” Through this program, Stream Energy has supported the homeless children’s advocacy with toys drives, financial donations, an Easter Egg hunt and broadcast airtime as part of the largest New Year’s Eve fireworks display in the southwestern United States.
“The results from our second annual diaper drive to benefit Captain Hope’s Kids reflects upon our employees, who came together as one team to set this new record,” said Stream Energy Chairman Rob Snyder. “Our team obviously believes strongly in the good works done by Captain Hope’s Kids. This diaper drive is simply the latest in our group effort to assist this worthy cause.”
“We are stunned by the continued generosity of Stream Energy,” said Carey McMann of the Captain Hope’s Kids board of directors. “This donation is the largest single donation of diapers that we have ever received in our 22 year history serving the homeless children of DFW.”
To celebrate the record-setting donation, Stream Energy hosted a pizza party for its 277 employees, with pizza generously donated by the Pizza Hut corporate office. “We are honored to support Stream Energy for its dedicated efforts for such a worthy cause,” said Kristin Wertz of Pizza Hut’s Corporate Social Responsibility team.
Dallas-based Stream Energy provides energy to consumers in Georgia, Maryland, Pennsylvania and Texas. Recognized as one of the largest privately held companies in Dallas, the company has generated annual revenues in excess of $840 million. It’s wholly owned subsidiary, Ignite, is among the largest network marketing companies in the world.
