Stream Energy Expands into MetED Service Area of Pennsylvania

Chairman Rob Snyder Announces the Firm’s Third Service Area in the State

DALLAS (June 29, 2011) – Stream Energy, the most successful network marketer of energy in the world, announced today its official launch of energy service to customers in the MetEd service area of Pennsylvania. This latest move expands Stream Energy’s footprint in the state, where the firm currently serves customers in the PPL and PECO service areas.

With roughly 450,000 residential electricity meters in the service area, MetEd represents a sizeable and very promising new market for Stream Energy.

“Stream Energy has established itself as the leading alternative retailer in the Pennsylvania electricity market in just eight short months,” said Stream Energy Chairman Rob Snyder. “With today’s news, we are strengthening our commitment to this dynamic state market. Pennsylvanians have flocked to both Stream Energy’s service offerings as well as the opportunities afforded by our Ignite network marketing effort. We look forward to accelerating our record of exponential growth in the Keystone State.”

Dallas-based Stream Energy is a provider of energy services in Georgia, Maryland, Pennsylvania and Texas. The firm’s wholly owned subsidiary, Ignite, incentivizes entrepreneurs to explain the advantages of energy deregulation directly to consumers and has created a paradigm shift in how energy companies in deregulated markets attract new customers. The firm has posted total revenues in excess of $2 billion since its founding in 2005 and has received numerous accolades and honors.
